Our Range: Oregon Trail Shooting Sports Assn. Range

Our Location: 9999 2 ½ W Mile Road, Pocatello, IDAHO

Range Type: Open skies, Wide open views. The Match will be shot in combination of a standard flat range with dirt containment berms, with ranges of 100 yards to 380+ yards and high desert sagebrush hills with ravines, opposing slopes, upward and downward angles, and wind from all directions.

Weather: In the Month of June, Pocatello experiences warm, sunny days and cool crisp nights. Average temperatures range from the mid-70s to Low 80s, with overnight lows drop into the mid to to low 40s.

June Average Rainfall: Less than 1”

Typical Match: Lots of movement, various positions and multiple targets… Large pans and wind gusts of ….8 to 20+mph.

What Our Club Matches are Known For: New and exciting barricades, different props and unique target arrays. Did I mention wind?!

Amenities: Electricity and indoor plumbing at the main clubhouse, two restrooms with showers and some power available at the main firing line.

Hotels: Pocatello/Chubbuck/Bannock County Idaho has a combined population of 91,000 people. There are many hotels to choose from, as well as many Air B&B options.

Restaurants: Lots of dining options are available, with the usual fast food options as well as Steakhouses, Mexican cuisine, Thai, Himalayan, Chinese, Italian, and even Sushi.

RV Camping and Tent Camping: There are a few RV camping locations. Although there isn’t any RV or Tent Camping spots on the Range, the County Fair Grounds, KOA, and Fort Hall Casino are all minutes away and offer both types of camping.

Airports: The City of Pocatello does have an airport with daily flights, but there may be better options from Nearby Idaho Falls Airport (40-minute drive) and Salt Lake City international Airport (2.5 Hours) The drive from SLC may seem long, but it is a straight shot on I-15 NB with no detours.

Things to Do In Pocatello, Id and Surrounding Area: Bowling, Swimming, Trampoline Park, Go Karts, Mountain Biking, Hiking, A Casino, Movie Theatres and much more. Just a few minutes from the range is The Portneuf Wellness Complex that boasts a lake for paddleboarding, fishing and swimming. A new shopping center is currently being built and will be completed before the match next summer.
